Pixelcandy is designed to be a welcoming, friendly, and competitive gaming space.
All players are expected to treat staff, other players, and equipment with respect.
By using Pixelcandy’s facilities, you agree to follow the rules outlined below.
Respect Other Players
We expect all players to behave respectfully towards others.
The following behaviour will not be tolerated:
- harassment or bullying
- abusive or offensive language directed at others
- discriminatory behaviour
- threatening behaviour
Pixelcandy aims to provide a space where everyone can enjoy gaming safely and comfortably.
Respect the Equipment
Our gaming PCs and equipment are high-end systems designed for shared use.
Players must:
- use equipment responsibly
- avoid tampering with system settings or hardware
- report any issues to staff immediately
Deliberate damage or misuse may result in charges for repair or replacement.
Food and Drinks
To protect equipment:
- drinks may be allowed only in approved containers
- food policies may vary depending on the area
Players should check with staff before bringing food into the gaming area.
Personal Belongings
Players are responsible for their own belongings.
Pixelcandy cannot accept responsibility for:
- lost items
- stolen items
- unattended personal equipment
Logging Into Personal Accounts
Players may log into their own gaming accounts where required.
Players should ensure they log out of their accounts before leaving their gaming station.
Pixelcandy is not responsible for personal account security.
Age Restrictions and Supervision
Players under the age of 16 must be registered by a parent or guardian.
Younger players must follow all venue rules and staff instructions.
Staff Instructions
Pixelcandy staff are responsible for maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment.
Players must follow reasonable instructions given by staff.
Failure to comply may result in suspension of play or removal from the venue.
Consequences of Misconduct
If rules are not followed, Pixelcandy may:
- issue warnings
- suspend gaming sessions
- cancel bookings
- refuse future entry
Serious misconduct may result in permanent exclusion from the venue.
Parental Consent & Under-16 Policy
Registration for Younger Players
Pixelcandy welcomes younger gamers. To ensure a safe environment and comply with UK data protection regulations, players under the age of 16 must be registered by a parent or guardian.
During registration, a parent or guardian will be asked to confirm the player’s details and agree to Pixelcandy’s policies.
Age-Appropriate Games
Pixelcandy aims to ensure that players are only exposed to games suitable for their age.
Where possible, systems may be configured so that games available to a player match the age recorded during registration.
Parents or guardians are responsible for confirming the age of the player during registration.
Parental Agreement
By registering a player under the age of 16, the parent or guardian confirms that:
- they are the legal parent or guardian of the player
- the information provided during registration is accurate
- they consent to Pixelcandy storing the player’s information for booking and account purposes
- they accept Pixelcandy’s terms, policies, and venue rules
Supervision
Parents and guardians remain responsible for the behaviour and wellbeing of younger players using Pixelcandy’s facilities.
Pixelcandy staff supervise the venue but do not provide individual childcare.
Safety and Conduct
All players, regardless of age, must follow Pixelcandy’s venue rules and code of conduct.
Staff reserve the right to remove players who behave inappropriately or fail to follow venue rules.
